It is an enabling technology. There's no telling what new uses and even new industries this might lead to. At this point in time, the door is just opening for iPad.
It is now a key part of my work flow. In fact, I find I use my iPhone most for calls (go figure) and the iPad for just about everything else other than full fledged computing.
I'm still very convinced that the biggest reason an iSight camera was left off the iPad was to make it more appealing to industry. There's no doubt that the processor could handle it and there's space for one.
Love the quotes !!!
2nd that auren!
Steve Jobs does not rule my world and never will.
I like most of his cool products - the ones that "just work" as promised but I HATE his profound arrogance.
I can describe how to make an iPad a truly useful device in just words:
AIR DISPLAY.
Few people seem to understand the value embedded in the iPad... For instance, why purchase a $1500 navigation system for an automobile if you can find a good place to mount an iPad with its great 9.7" display? It combines GPS, music, video, voice control, etc. Just give me a slot in the middle of the dash with a few controls below it and on the steering wheel and I have everything that I need in the car. Plus, I can take it with me to meetings, browse the web in an easy chair, etc.
Apple has evolved from focused, single function mobile devices (original iPod) to two functions (music + video) to multiple functions (iPod touch, iPhone, and iPad) while maintaining or improving value, ease of use, reliability, battery life, etc. No one else has approached this level of successful, rapid evolution.

Now he RULES the world.
