I would recommend this to anyone...especially for the iPod nano! A wonderful product. I've had mine for about a week or two and I love it. It offers full body protection without adding bulk or significantly changing the look of the iPod at all.
They Have them for the full size iPods too
I will be looking forward to reading MDN's hands on review of these. The video's and what I have heard from other people who have them have all been good so I plan on getting one for the nano (when I can get one).
Here is another review that I found that is pretty good and give some good advice on application:
InvisibleSHIELD Review
My helicopter blades look as good as they day I bought them.
Decalgirl.com has a nice range of patterned and clear skins too
Anybody who has one know if InvisibleShield will protect more than just for scratching? Like, will it help keep if from getting destroyed in a pocket or anything durability wise?
Looks like a promising product but damn their Pen Test (see their video) has one major faux pas: while they claim that a pen cannot pierce it, note the little girl and where the pen is aiming. Had that thing ceded there'd be partially blind lil' girl.
>Anybody who has one know if InvisibleShield will protect more than just for scratching? Like, will it help keep if from getting destroyed in a pocket or anything durability wise?>
Yes John, you can jump on it, swallow it and pass it --even flush it and scoop it out of your septic tank.. It's a bloomin' toon tiddler for G--sake!
Now who's tried removing one of these things once it's been dried? They say on InvisibleShield's site it can be done, but to do it slowly. What's been left behind if anything on the iPod?
wait - who says the iPod nano scratches? Invisishield must hate Apple, and hate their freedom too!
They say it's not supposed to leave any residue. In the process of putting it on I actually had to remove and reapply the front a few times to get it how I wanted it and each time when I took it off it didn't leave anything on the iPod itself even though it had actually dried and adhered a bit.
Here's an independent review and example of the application process. This site helped me very much when I put mine on (lots of pictures). As a matter of fact the people at invisibleSHIELD have a link to this site on there instructions page (when you order the product there is a slip of paper that has URLs for an instruction web-page and to register the product (there is a lifetime warranty)).

I work at a college bookstore where we sell a lot of Nanos. InvisibleSHIELD gave us some sample strips for live demos on the durability of the material and let me tell you that I'm more than impressed with it. A customer came in and it took two jabs for his pocket knife to go through it. We do the Pen Tests often and trust me when I say that blind or no, the material is *very* strong. Not a puncture yet. We can't keep the things in stock enough for how many people are trying to get them.
Oh boy, that makes me much more confident in getting a nano now! Of course, one of these protectors will accompany it.
20 bucks for a piece of plastic???!?!? you got to be kidding me. i would WAY sooner buy a roll of seran wrap and just wrap my nano (if i ever get one) in that...all for what, maybe 5 bucks? and think of all the leftover plastic i have. yay.
geez,
seran wrap??? you've got to be kidding me. I think 20 bucks is well worth it since this stuff was originally designed to protect military helicopter blades, and is custom cut for your iPod. Did you look at the pictures of it? Oh, and its actually two pieces of adhesive plastic.
I had one on my video ipod, but had to take it off. I went slowly, as I was advised, and there was no residue left behind.
Very good site. You are doing great job. Please Keep it up... .!
